The ruined city of Bakhmut is now reportedly under complete fire control by Ukrainian artillery, meaning Russian troops have nowhere to run or hide to avoid neutralization.

The latest battlefield reports suggest that thousands of Russian troops are trapped in the ruins, essentially just waiting their turn to be pulverized by well-aimed Ukrainian strikes. This is on top of tens of thousands of Russian troops already massacred in and around Bakhmut over the past few months.

Ukrainian gunners were able to gain this tactical advantage after capturing key heights around the outskirts. This enables artillery strikes at will on every possible entrance or exit route to the city. Anything that moves is immediately targeted and destroyed.
