There are mounting fears of a new resurgence of the coronavirus, as the UK has reported over 40,000 new cases in the last 24h.

Official figures say that there have been 40,224 new infections confirmed in that period of time.

Daily cases are also on the rise here in Ireland, as are hospitalizations, leading many to believe that ‘successful’ might not accurately describe the Government’s vaccination plan.
