British health authorities have confirmed the detection of a new coronavirus variant.

It is understood that 16 cases have already been isolated, with many more in other countries around the world.

 

According to health authorities, two of those infected had been fully vaccinated.

こうした新たな変異株は世界の各地で確認されているようです。だからこそ、それをさらに広めてしまうようなイベントは慎むべきで、大規模な五輪は特に注意すべき対象でしょう。しかも、緊急事態宣言下の都市で実施するなど考えられません。

尚、昨日（金）も本日の土曜日も祝日扱いになっていますので、新規感染者数等のデータは真値かどうか疑って見るべきかと思います。ここ数日の数値の変化に注目すべきでしょう。
