Russia attempted to destroy a Patriot battery with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile, but the Ukrainian ground crew easily intercepted and blew the missile out of the sky instead.

The ground crew fired several missiles at the incoming threat and neutralized it. This is the first known instance of a successful interception by a Patriot platform in Ukraine.

The May 4 incident proves the value of US-provided training, and how quickly Ukrainian crews have mastered the state-of-the-art weapon system.
