The UK is reportedly considering sending two platoons of heavy Challenger 2 tanks into Ukraine to help the country create an Iron Fist to hammer Russia hard.

According to sources, the UK might send 10 units to Ukraine, the first time a Western ally sends heavy tanks to Ukraine.

The UK’s example might prompt Germany to send a detachment of Leopard 2 main battle tanks, and the US might follow suit with M1 Abrams, which is currently considered state-of-the-art in tank warfare.

Ukraine has been requesting heavy armor for a long time, and though the West has provided a great deal of defensive equipment, it has not provided offensive equipment to help Ukrainian troops achieve a decisive victory on the battlefield. Heavy armor will give Ukraine huge offensive capabilities, and once deployed, armored columns can easily dislodge and tear Russian troops apart.
