Russia is reporting a record high number of daily coronavirus cases.

Official figures say that there have been 37,930 new infections detected over the last 24h, the highest daily figure since the start of the pandemic.

Health authorities there announced 1,069 new Covid-19-related deaths, the second-highest since Covid-19 first struck in Russia.

Hardly anyone is taking Sputnik V, Russia’s own vaccine, as most people believe its development was rushed to make Russia look good in the international stage.

ロシアの状況がこれ以上に悪化しないことを願うばかりです。しかし、自国製のワクチンが不人気である限り難しいのかも知れません。

ところでUKは約36,000人日となっていて、やや下降し始めた感がありますが、これが継続してくれることを祈ります。それにしても、何か対策しなければ無理かも、例えば公共の場でのマスク着用義務化とか・・・。
