Panic is spreading fast among Ukrainian collaborators as the evacuation begins ahead of an expected Ukrainian counter-offensive, with long queues at a Crimean checkpoint reported.
Collaborators are being hurriedly extracted from the Zaporizhzhia region before Ukrainian operators arrive.
The evacuation order has reportedly led to ‘mad panic’ and ‘mad queues’ as collaborators scramble to flee.
Ukraine has long warned that it fully intends to retake the Crimean Peninsula, illegally occupied by Russia since 2014.
