A Sign My Rocket fundraiser to write messages on bombs and rockets to be fired at the enemy has surpassed £1m.

The cool initiative was launched by Ukrainian student Anton Sokolenko over the summer.

Writing messages on bombs is a long-standing tradition. Bomber crews would routinely do this on ordnance destined for Germany during the Second World War, for example.
