The UK has reported just over 54,000 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.

Official figures say that there have been 54,095 new infections confirmed in that period of time.

Health authorities have also announced 75 new Covid-19-related deaths.

万の単位レベルではなく千になる必要があります。これには時間（期間）がかかるような気がします。また死者数は75人と出ていて、以前の2百・3百のレベルからは下がってはいますが、75人でも多いと認識すべきでしょう。これを率で論じることには納得出来ませんし・・・。
