The UK is reporting almost 120,000 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 119,789 new infections confirmed in that period of time. This is the highest daily figure since the start of the pandemic.
Health authorities have also announced 147 new Covid-19-related deaths.
