The UK is reporting just over 90,600 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.

Official figures say that there have been 90,629 new infections confirmed in that period of time.

Health authorities have also announced 172 new Covid-19-related deaths.

死者の数172人も多いと解するべきです。

ところで日本のオミクロン株の状況ですが、日増しに感染事例や濃厚接触者数が上昇しています。このオミクロン株は、空気感染に近いものがあるのではないでしょうか。従前のエアロゾル感染にも注意をすべきですが、今回の感染速度等を考えれば、“空気感染“の恐れが強いことをもっと喧伝すべきです。先手先手と言うならば、こうした防備も含めて展開すべきでしょう。
