The United States has hit the grim milestone of 700,000 coronavirus-related deaths, as worldwide cases surpass 43m.

The vast majority of deaths in the States occurred during the tenure of the now disgraced former President Donald Trump, whose gross incompetence and negligence led to an exacerbation of the pandemic’s consequences.
