アイルランド発（datelined Ireland）： mistakenly given an entire vial of Covid-19 vaccine

A woman in Italy is currently being monitored in hospital after she was mistakenly injected with the entire vial of the Covid-19 vaccine.

 

According to Italy’s AGI News Agency, the 23 year old woman received six doses of the vaccine whilst attending her vaccine appointment in the Tuscan town of Massa.

It is reported that the woman who is believed to be a healthcare worker was held in hospital for 24 hours after the incident.

AGI reports that the woman is in good condition after being treated with paracetamol and fluids.

Meanwhile the incident has now led to the Italian health authority to launch an investigation.

どのように勘違いするとこんな事故になるのか疑問がいっぱいです。しかし、日本国内でも、一日で100万回接種を目指すなどと叫ばれると、慌てるタイプの人は間違いを起こす可能性が高まるのかも知れません。間違いの起こらない仕組みで工程を組んで欲しいものです。単独作業は事故防止には不適です。

ちなみに、3週間は空けなければならない2回目の接種に関し、わずか3日後に接種してしまった事例が日本で既に発生しています。これも考えられないような事故ですが、実際に起きてしまったのです。
